Backstory

Having his mother be sold as a slave in the past and growing up in poverty, Astrid set out with miqo'te traders called 'The Stray Cats' as a traveling dancer, in place of his mother.The man that took his mother in before he was born was his father, Victor Solas; their leader, Rafael the Great was the one that convinced him. Astrid hails from Ul'dah but rarely stays for long since he's usually traveling, or modeling for Lucius Avery, a high end fashion designer in Gridania.
He and his twin brother Atticus separate during their teen years after Atticus found out about Astrid's lifestyle. Even throughout the hardships Astrid still remains a bubbly, carefree Viera with a good head on his shoulders.Due to competition, Astrid only gets a handful of "clients" at a time, but even still, he loves the interactions he has with each of them. He tries to make each encounter memorable and long lasting, however, true love is not on the table. Still, long conversations, crying sessions, and even full blown rants are part of the job in his personal book.

Current day

From clients to everyday pains to training until his body gave out, Astrid realized his life could be so much more than property for the streets. Determined to protect his lovers from harm, he set out on a journey to learn what it means to be himself. He asked a phoenix to grant him the powers of the sun but only found himself in an endless cycle of aches and doubts about his newly gifted abilities.Astrid continues to struggle with his emotions, reliving through trauma, and finding his true purpose in life.
